Medical Immersion Program in Orlando, Florida
20-24 July 2026
The 5-Day Apprentice Doctor® Medical Immersion Program in Orlando, Florida will give high school and pre-med students a practical, hands-on introduction to what studying and practicing medicine can feel like within a safe and fully simulated setting. The program is designed to help students explore whether a future in healthcare is the right path for them. Over five structured days, participants take part in realistic medical simulations using professional training equipment and medical models, reflecting how common procedures are approached in clinical environments while remaining entirely supervised.
Students work in small teams and rotate through a range of practical scenarios. They may set a simulated broken bone using closed reduction principles, measure and interpret blood pressure, practice suturing on synthetic wound pads, record and review ECG tracings, and control a simulated arterial bleed using specialized training arms. All activities are guided by experienced medical professionals using Apprentice Doctor® resources. By the end of the program, students will have a clearer understanding of what the profession involves and receive a certificate of participation acknowledging their involvement.
